It is smart that you capture the tab character for use with the text. This github control uses the tab to move on to the next control on the page ... attaching files.

But how does someone, using TinyMCE, exit the "editor body" and move on to the rest of the host page?

I was just in a meeting with a keyboard-centric user who has to move from the keyboard to the mouse to make one click to exit your control and resume work on the page.
