rawterm nuserver/nuclient does not echo chars or read/send chars

I implemented the nuclient on a CP Bluefruit and the nuserver on a CP Bluefruit. They do connect as the following is displayed in the client. Connecting to the NUS (MAC...) Discovering service... Connected. Exit console using Ctrl-X.

When you attempt to type a keystroke nothing is echoed and when you hit return nothing gets sent from either the client or the server.
