When pressing play, music will play for "1 millisecond" twice before continuous playback

Open Citreon opened this issue 5 years ago • 5 comments

Shuttle version:

v2.0.8-beta 2

Device, OS:

Huawei v10, 8.1.0

Bug description here

When shuttle is open, and I press play, Shuttle will play part of a song for a very quick period of time. Since the new update, it will play another millisecond of the song, at a louder volume, and then play the song continuously.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start to play music by pressing play button
  2. for a millisecond, the song will play
  3. the next millisecond the song will play for a millisecond at a louder volume
  4. the song will then continuously play music like normal

Expected outcome:

song will play without any pauses or interruptions

Observations/Actual Result:

I can make a video of this when I get home tonight if you guys are skeptical of this.

I have updated, and as far as i know, the issue has disappeared. Still wanna do more testing though.

The issue still exist. It only happens when the app is idle (in the background) and then you start using it again.

It works fine otherwise.

@Citreon have you noticed this issue with other apps?

It feels like a device/firmware issue to me..

I don't seem to have this issue with other apps. I've also noticed that when i unplug the aux cord (which pauses the music), the music will play for a millisecond also.

My phone has a very aggressive power saver. I've had to turn off all the settings so it won't stop playback. It may just be how my phone is wired. I am thinking it's a device issue.
