Earlier it wasn't throwing any error. Today when I tried it failed.

Hi folks- I am no longer supporting this library and haven't been for years, but looks to me like an issue with the nose package; possibly related to python 3.12?. If anyone is interested in updating the CI in this package to use github actions, pytest, etc., to enable more robust testing, please feel free.
