maybe a possible one to load large images faster. This is based on #136

Got any advice for building this?

I wanted to do some testing and can't seem to find any compilation docs. Unsure why this hasn't been triaged or progressed...

HI, seems the main project as reached a stale state as the project owner seems to have disappeared, and we are trying to keep it alive.
