Status of the project ?

I was basically planning on doing the same thing. Any reason why it did not have any updates in 4 years? I'd love to pick up the work, so if we can chat about it briefly I would be glad.

sorry for the very late answer. In case it's still of relevance for you, i'll briefly try to answer.

Status of the project ?

I'd say the status of the project is basically Completed Student Project with the main goals of:

• learning/practicing C++ with a practically relevant use case
• getting some portfolio material out of it

Any reason why it did not have any updates in 4 years?

No particular reason per se. The biggest reason would probably be time and that programming at my job was focused a little bit more on other topics. Also I did see it as more of a student project. For it to mature into a production proven, battletested solution, maybe a bit of work would be needed. The C++ in particular is probably clear and clean, but not very idiomatic or elaborate.

I'd love to pick up the work, so if we can chat about it briefly I would be glad.
