FWIW, I fixed my issues by moving to [ZFSBootMenu](https://zfsbootmenu.org/) and couldn't be happier. Excellent piece of software to pair with ZFS!

I think there are also other ways to do it, using something like BubbleUPnP or PlainUPnP, Yatse/Kore, etc. I'm looking for a _direct_ integration without adding more apps (and issues).
This is a lot more complicated than it really needs to be. Quality of life would be improved if NewPipe just supported the TV linking protocol.
