what config are you applying?

Do you mean on startup or as part of a reload? If its on startup then a JCasC failure is a critical error and it stops the service hence service...

I don't think this is related to custom roles, just role assignments in general. I have the same issue with the Contributor role.

I don't think including it in the yaml output makes sense by default. I don't have a problem with the feature although I'm not sure the cleanest way to include...
