give feedback that saving was successful

at the moment, there is no feedback that a save operation was performed successfully other than that there is no error in the backend. It would be nice to give the user visual feedback that saving was successful. My first idea was to have a log file of actions displayed as an overlay to the graph with actions fading out after three lines. The log would only appear when an action is logged and disappear after a timeout (3s?). I made a quick sketch of how this could look when the save button is pressed repeatedly. fading_log

The UI has been updated a lot since year 2020. Do we still need this?
