What about running a CLI command instead of a notification? This allows to trigger another app (by running am start that sends an Intent) or turn this app into sort of an automation software.

I don't think a regular app can run those commands without some complex workarounds.

The app provides integration for Tasker, Automate, etc. You can find the app on the plugin page of those apps.
