crowdfunded htmlwidget

Would any htmlwidgets warrant a crowd-funded (Kickstarter, etc.) effort? If you're reading, please let me know your thoughts. After last year's experience, to get these right requires dedicated weeks of development on both the R and JavaScript side along with user feedback and iteration.

I would happily join a crowd funding initiative! One widget that I would love to see developed is a markdown editor such as simpleMDE (https://simplemde.com/)
