Words (elements) overlap in Chrome

I've noticed that words overlap in the latest version of Chrome when displayed as DOM elements. The problem can be seen on the demo page. I've only seen the issue in Chrome on my PC (Windows 10) so it would be good if someone else could verify on another machine.

Update

I've included a couple of screenshots from the demo page of the canvas and 'elements' view (of the same cloud) showing the issue described above. The screenshots were taken from Chrome 89 on Windows 10. I've also observed the same issue in IE11, FF 86 and Edge 88. I don't have access to older browsers than these so am unable to trace back to where the issue began. It would be good to know if someone else is able to check though. I don't believe the issue was present when I first used the library back in 2015/16 and I only noticed it just before opening this issue.

Can confirm the same issue on Chromium 83. Using my MacBook on macOS 10.15.5.

Can confirm this for Edge 86 and Firefox 83 on Windows 10, happens more often with Fonts like Candara than Arial using wordcloud2 v1.1.1.
