Meru won’t come to foreground when invoked from notification (Linux)

Notifications do not raise Meru window on Wayland (CachyOS, AppImage via Gear Lever)

Summary

On my Wayland session (CachyOS, Arch based), clicking a Meru notification does not bring the Meru window to the foreground when Meru is already running. The notification is shown correctly, but the app is not activated or focused.

This happens both with the default launch options and after forcing Electron Wayland flags.

Environment

• OS: CachyOS (Arch based), fully updated
• Session type: Wayland
• Desktop environment: GNOME
• Meru version: 3.19 (AppImage)
• Install method: Official meru.appimage in ~/AppImages, integrated and launched via Gear Lever
• Notifications: Meru shows system notifications correctly

Launch command

Meru is managed by Gear Lever, which lets me define the launch arguments.

Original launch command:

/home/USERNAME/AppImages/meru.appimage --no-sandbox %U
