OS macOs 13.4 Ventura, on M1 Apple Silicon

Gmail Desktop Version - Version: 3.0.0-alpha.37 (dev) You can find the version at Gmail DesktopAbout Gmail Desktop. Make sure you're running the latest version to make sure the bug hasn't been fixed yet.

Describe the bug A clear and concise description of what the bug is.

After installing, when entering username to login to gmail account, it gives an error saying the browser is not secure.

Couldn’t sign you in This browser or app may not be secure. Learn more Try using a different browser. If you’re already using a supported browser, you can try again to sign in.

Steps to reproduce the behavior

  1. Go to '...'
  2. Click on '....'
  3. See error

No specific steps. Simply trying to login after installing.

Enable / Disable the User Agent Fix (reverse the current setting) and see if that makes a difference.

Three horizontal dots --> GMail Desktop --> Preferences --> User Agent --> Use User Agent Fix

Unchecking "Use User Agent Fix" fixed this issue for me in Windows on Version: 3.0.0-alpha.37 (dev)
