Wont let me run the software after installing it.

It wont let me open git because it says its from an unidentified developer. I'm trying to install it on my Mac

Also having this same problem - I'm using MacOS Catalina 10.15.1.

Same here, using the new MacOS software. From previous posts, it seems that this is an occurring problem after Apple updates their Mac softwares.

I figured out how to do it in Catalina. u need to go to system preferences, then in the general tab, at the bottom you should see a message with a button that will allow bypassing the mac os security. click on it and the installation process should start.

even after the process ends.... were u able to get the git in your system..in my mac os i cannot find the files anywhere in the system leave alone /usr/local/bin ?
