Files modal box is slow

The files modal box to insert an image in an article is very slow on 5340.

Investigate what is causing this. The files_thumbnails table has only a few rows but is already 1.5MB.

Idea: implement imgix.net for image thumbnails in the administrator application so we no long need to create thumbnails ourselves.
