support for fasta files or bam files as input in whippet-quant?

Hi, may I ask if fasta file can also be used as input besides fastq files? Also, sometimes it takes a lot of computing resources to redo the alignment. May I ask if you plan to expand the whippet-quant that starts from bam files?
