Can't connect Wii u pro controller

I can only get as far as "pairing request" with the message "tap to pair with [name of the controller]" but it then requests a pin that I don't have. EDIT: I am on Android 11, OxygenOS

I have a similar problem (it says pairing rejected after skipping pin entry) but with samsung galaxy s8 and before you say "it doesn't work on samsung" I somehow got it to pair the Wiimote and it works fine (android 9 btw). google playstore version
