@aeneasr seems like you implemented most of what we had (around preserving headers, settings, etc.) so this PR just adds test coverage for the original issue and fixes a bug...

@kke I just tried this, when I run with `single`, it'll still start etcd. When I set `storage.type: kine` (no `storage.kine.datasource`), it will start with sqlite.

@kke I am happy to wait for v2. It's not a huge deal. Works well enough most of the time. 😅
