update to support newer browserify

I'm very happy I found this repo, but it doesn't work with the current browserify (v8.1.0). Is this still being maintained?

Not actively maintained, but I do occasionally find time at hackathons to work on this. I did some preliminary work on updating for a newer browserify at a meeting of the Social Web WG at MIT last fall.

I'll try to at least get that shared onto a branch. Sorry to be a year late in responding to your issue.

@tilgovi thx for responding :) I don't remember the exact issue any more, but it can presumably be reproduced by using a new version of browserify. I don't have time at the moment to tinker, but i'll be happy to report more when i get back to chrome apps

It's very much known to me that this project doesn't work right now on anything beyond browserify v2. No need to test :).
