Missing Expand and Compress functionality

The functions expand/compress pattern and expand/compress song currently do nothing.

I'm not sure if this is intentional or not, because of what is said in issue #345. But, due to the existence of the buttons in the Edit menu, this seems to be a bug or at least an unfinished feature.

If the latter is the case, then other things are probably more important.
