Yeah reusing existing libraries is definitely my preference. I personally am not an expert at load balancing and very much doubt I could do a better job than whatever tower...

@jrraymond I'm currently rewriting the tarpc stack in #199. I've left out shutdown for now because it didn't feel like a critical feature, and it's kind of tricky to nail...
I was thinking about this today and realized you can actually do this yourself in the current version of tarpc, which is somewhat more of a toolkit than it used...
I think I'm generally interested in pursuing this out of tree right now, so that I can see what real world use cases need.
