Feature request: Proxy support

The ability to use HTTP or SOCKS proxies with BeagleIM would be very useful. It would improve the overall security of the communication to be able to route all traffic through the Tor network for example, which could also be a great selling point for new users.

Apparently, almost 5 years ago the devs stated:

We will consider that as a feature to add in the future but for now, I cannot provide you with any ETA for this feature.
