Support viewingDirection property
Needed for the proper presentation (particularly the two-page view) of books written in right-to-left languages such as Arabic, Farsi, Urdu, Hebrew, etc.
Could you add a link to a sample manifest with LTR content?
Here is a non-IIIF book viewer that correctly shows a right-to-left item: https://archive.org/details/kaisenshu01hira
And here is a IIIF manifest for that book which includes the viewingDirection property: https://beta.biodiversitylibrary.org/iiif/81292/manifest
Thanks, we will look into it.
On BDRC most of our data has a top-to-bottom viewing direction (ex: this manifest). In that case would it be possible to put the previous and next buttons at the top and bottom sides of the window instead at on the left and right sides? This is more intuitive to many of our users since that's the way these volumes are manipulated by hand
edit: for top-to-bottom
viewing directions, the double pages view should have the second image below the first one instead of on its right
