Loading Archive Failed Error

Open theGuruWithin opened this issue 5 years ago • 6 comments

Hi Tiffany352

I have been playing around with portable Twitter-Archive-Browser-0.1.0-alpha3.exe and I have a huge archive.

I have attempted to load my 10 gig plus Twitter Data File and I get Following Error Messages by trying to load both Zip and Unzipped Folder Twitter Data Files as follows:

Zip file:

Loading archive failed RangeError: File size (11319908051) is greater than possible Buffer: 2147483647 bytes

UnZipped Folder:

Loading archive failed RangeError: File size (5337736723) is greater than possible Buffer: 2147483647 bytes

BTW your first version of index.html Twitter Archive Browser works great to create index with same Twitter Data Folder by just dropping the index.html file into folder...

Please let me know if you want me to try anything else with this or new version of ....Twitter-Archive-Browser-0.1.0-alpha3.exe

Again Thanks, A

Wow, that's a huge archive. I'll look into fixing this.

TY for quick response....

I have been on twitter for a long time... with data growing everyday... I am running on a very powerful computer with 40 cores and 64g RAM.

Happy to test when your ready with a version that you think will contain my Twitter Universe!

again, In Gratitude, A

Hi Tiffany352,

Thank you for this application. I have the same problem as theGuruWithin, the error I get is the following "Loading archive failed RangeError: File size (5129853865) is greater than possible Buffer: 2147483647 bytes"

Looking forward as well for a new version that can help users like us haha !

I just pushed an updated version which should be able to load your archive now.

Unfortunately, media won't load if the media zip is larger than 2 gigs. Until I can find or write a JS zip library that can handle files larger than 2 gigs, I have no way to open files that large.

Twitter no longer stores the tweet media inside of a zip file in new archives, so if you get a new download and try it with the alpha 6 version, it will hopefully be able to load these large archives. Let me know if that fixes it!

I sadly have this error as well. ;o;

Loading archive failed RangeError: File size (9324867497) is greater than possible Buffer: 2147483647 bytes

On the one i downloaded on Feb 20th 2020 I believe it still has media in the zip though so that's likely why. ;o; I wish twitter didn't make this so complicated...thank you so much for your tool though, I was able to use a version of it awhile back! I believe it was the non-installer one, i'll have to try again.
