People don't read (especially repeated output)

i.e. when you start R it prints a bunch of information, but most people have never read it (judging by how few people have heard of citation())

I'll admit to being one of those people. Another example, I rarely take the time to review the column specification printed by readr::read_csv().

I wonder if we should only print the column specifications if there are problems when parsing to try and combat this effect? Adding the colors was one attempt already at it.
