Material You
We have implemented support for Material 3 #6617 and we could implement Material You support now.
Would be very nice to see the app with a more modern feel. My suggestion is to bring it up to par with Material You design.
Hiya dear Thunderbird-Team! - This was 7 months ago I think, is there any (rough?) timeline on this maybe? Personally I had long planned to finally make the complete switch from Gmail & Outlook to Thunderbird on Android ever since the K9 takeover was announced - but when I finally got to it a few weeks ago I was a little bit shocked over the 'design' state of the UI I think? So is there maybe any real (at least rough?) timeline for the implementation of 'Material YOU' anytime soon? And if not, then maybe a tiny bit of general aesthetic 'modernisation' - like at least being able to change accent/theme colors, or maybe a bit of a more modern facelift for the entire 'draft/send email' window - in my personal opinion, especially in light-mode, it really looks very very 'dated' at best in those gray tones I feel like? Otherwise I think I'll probably curb my switching plans, and better just go back to Gmail and Outlook respectively on Android maybe... So it would be super nice to know when or if at all, any 'modernisation' like e.g. 'Material YOU' or similar is planned already for the near future? Thank you loads!
I agree with the opinion, the application would gain a lot if they implemented dynamic colors.
