Steps to reproduce

K-9 öffnen > Gemeinsamer Posteingang erscheint > Mailliste wird angezeigt > Mail durch Anklicken anzeigen > "GESAMTE NACHRICHT HERUNTERLADEN" anklicken > Ein leeres Mail mit «Unbekannter Absender» an mich, (KEIN BETREFF) wird generiert und das ursprüngliche Mail ist verschwunden.

Expected behavior

Das ursprüngliche Mail komplett herunterladen und Anzeigen.

Actual behavior

Ein leeres Mail mit «Unbekannter Absender» an mich, (KEIN BETREFF) wird generiert und das ursprüngliche Mail ist verschwunden.

Nearly the same behavior on my side, except that the subject seems normal. If I try to forward/reply the mail, I get a toast message saying that something with the PGP encryption is wrong. I checked the settings and it doesn't recognize that the OpenKeyChain app is installed and I'm forwarded to play store, where I see that the app is already installed. Not possible to enable the OpenPGP support.

If you translate your issue to English (either by hand or by using a translator) more people will be able to understand it.

Falls du dieses Issue ins Englische übersetzt (manuell oder per Übersetzer), werden mehr Leute es verstehen können.

Apart from that you seem to be one version behind, it might already have been fixed.

@Grommanos: Your issue seems to be about an error in communication with the crypto provider and thus different from what was reported here initially. Please open a new GitHub issue and provide as much context as possible. How did you configure the app? What are the steps to reproduce the issue? What exact error message is displayed? Please also attach the debug log to that issue.

If I click on an email and select "DOWNLOAD ENTIRE MESSAGE", an empty email is generated with "Unknown Sender" and the delivered email then disappears. This can be seen at the very end in the attached debug file with the date 06-13 00:16.47. k9mail-logs.txt

It looks like your mail server sends an empty response when K-9 Mail is asking for the complete contents of this message. Can I ask who your provider is?

I think we would have gotten more reports if there was a general problem with K-9 Mail accessing GMX accounts. So I'm guessing it's something about this particular message. Using the web interface, can you please create a new folder and move that message into it. Then with debug logging enabled, sync that folder using K-9 Mail. Afterwards, press the button to download the complete message again. Please post the debug log here (it can't be attached via email; you need to use GitHub's web interface).

If possible, please also post the message source here (feel free to redact any sensitive information, but try to retain the structure).
