Swipe sidebar open, tap input field, type letters on keyboard. Folder list is filtered to only show matching. Tap folder to open. Perhaps open automatically be if single match.

I'm not sure an input field in the drawer is the best idea. But I agree that filtering the list of folders is a valuable feature when you have a lot of folders. We might add this functionality in a slightly different form.

Is there any news/plans about that feature? It would be extremely helpful since I have hundreds of folders. Every time I search a specific folder I am required to switch to my Desktop PC :( It is so convenient when moving an e-mail to a folder to have this search box, why not when selecting a folder from the navigation? Thanks!

Will the folder search functionality come back? This is the most annoying issue with K9 since the folder search was removed years ago. There are so many users missing this feature.
