Question: How to update a msf file

Hello,

I am working with Linux (Ubuntu) and the Unix movemail support was dropped in TB. So I just cat the whole file /var/mail/user to a file, which represents a folder in Local Folders. The problem is that the corresponding msf file is getting updated only after I restarted Thunderbird. Is there a way to tell the running process of TB to rebuild the msf file?
