In the messages tab they dont disappear until you click on the check icon. If you show them in the context though (click on it), they should disappear too I think.
At least this is regular behavior, maybe this is wanted.
Same. If i open the comment and then use system back gesture the message i went to should be marked read and go away. It appears to be marked as read already because if you presh the refresh button it goes away.
When I click on an item in the inbox, it doesn't mark it as read, when I refresh it's still there. It should do that tho, as I've obviously read it.
Do folks agree that if we add this, it should be optional? For comparison, the official Lemmy web UI and Photon do not mark inbox messages as read when you navigate to view the context.
I would be fine with it being optional, but I would like to see it added.
