Quoting parent comment text by using selection + quote button only works if comment box was empty.

Bug Description

Selecting the text of a parent comment and pressing the quote button creates a quote markdown (> ) wherever the cursor is, but does not copy the selected text unless the comment box was empty.

Expected Behaviour

A quote markdown (> ) should be created where the cursor is, and the selected text should be copied.

Steps to Reproduce

With some text already in the comment box, select some text in a parent comment and press the quote button.

Additional Context

This functionality works fine when the comment box is empty.
