Hi @slrgt, I just wanted to ask a clarifying question. When you say "hidden posts", do you mean posts hidden using the new Lemmy feature?

If that's what you're referring to, then they shouldn't come back after refresh, although you might want to check this setting.
Or are you talking about the feature of Thunder that allows you to dismiss read posts?

That feature is based on Relay for Reddit and intentionally brings back read posts when you refresh. However, if you don't want to see read posts, there is an account setting for that, so I guess it accomplishes the same thing.

Maybe what would help your use case is a option right on the main feed to toggle the Hide Read Posts option?
ah yeah its the dismiss read posts button im using, i dont want them to appear on refresh unless i click a show read posts button
search for Read doesnt bring up that menu btw i have to manually go to the account settings. Are you in the beta\prerelease maybe?
FYI for anyone else wondering how he got the single button press to dismiss read, i had to go to settings for floating action button, and change the default short press action from create post -> dismiss read. Changing it in account settings is definitely my preference though.
Also just wanted to say to @hjiangsu and all the devs, fricken great job here! I was looking for an open source client after sync dev abandoned his and this is an absolutely great user experience. Well done!
BTW, you can also swipe up on the FAB to see all of the additional actions (in addition to the default / single-press action).
