Pet Peeve: I'm really tired of the cheeky message when there are no comments or I've reached the end

Is Your Feature Request Related to a Problem?

I don't know if it's just me, but I'm tired of the "friendly" and "fun" messages in the app. Specifically these two:

• "Oh. There are no comments."
• "Hmmm. It seems like you've reached the bottom."

I see these a hundred times a day, and the joke of making the app seem surprised that there are no comments is just so old. These kinds of "fun" messages were popular years ago, and they're just exhausting now, and not very professional. If a person made the same joke 100 times a day, I would unfriend them. I don't want to unfriend Thunder.

Hey there, sorry for the delay in response, and thank you for your feedback!

I completely understand how seeing those messages repeatedly might become tiresome and how they might not resonate with everyone. Everyone has their own preferences, and I can definitely see where you're coming from.

I do want to emphasize that Thunder is still more or less a personal project, maintained by just a few people. One of the fun things about working on something like Thunder is that we can add a bit of our own personality to it while keeping it functional and accessible to everyone.

That being said, I do want to address your concerns, so I'll look into making the messages more neutral. However, at the end of the day, this is still a project we all work on in our free time, and sometimes making the app overly formal and professional takes some of the fun out of it (especially since a lot of us deal with that already on our day jobs).
