Move bottom bar to the side menu

the bottom bar is sort of an eye sore to me.. It just removes space for the content. Showing content should be the main goal for the app.

You could just move those bottom buttons to the side bar (the one that is swipe-able). Maybe make that an option?

The plan is to eventually have it go away the same way you can enable the top bar disappearing upon scrolling from settings

Relying on sidebar navigation for frequent actions is bad UX, and the swipe to open it conflicts with system gestures on android.

the swipe to open doesn't have to conflict, you could use https://github.com/thunder-app/thunder/issues/1162

Or samsungs gestures which are essentially 3 buttons at the bottom.

With either of those sidebar navigation is preferable.
