I also noticed some [issues with plux in python 3.12](https://github.com/localstack/plux/pull/13), which i'm surprised didn't surface here yet. anyway, they're fixed and can be released any time.

closing this PR since as @dfangl said there are too many issues with it potentially breaking environments. i would keep this in mind though when developing container abstractions /cc @simonrw....

we use [kinesis-mock](https://github.com/etspaceman/kinesis-mock) behind the scenes, but from the stacktrace it looks like the error occurs in our request parser, cc @alexrashed

@dfangl any idea if this should work with the IAM enhancements?

just noticed i was running quart dev mode, still getting the same issue when serving through hypercorn though: `hypercorn server:app`
