Wishlist: `query whatinputs` should not abort just because one file isn't an input

Open hemflit opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

While whatoutputs does a reasonable thing:

$ please query whatoutputs foo bar
Error: 'foo' is not a product of any current target
Error: 'bar' is not a product of any current target

... whatinputs aborts on first failure:

$ please query whatinputs foo bar
11:08:31.689 CRITICAL: foo is not a source to any current target

This makes xargs-ing or piping into the command harder.
