True Tone doesn't stay disabled when set from Shifty menu

Simple use case: I will be presenting in a meeting, so I want to quickly disable True Tone. I disable it form Shifty menu.

But when I click anywhere else on the desktop or even any other app, True Tone gets enabled again.

What can I do to keep True Tone disabled until I enable it again in Shifty?
