Bad Gateway time-out

After installing this into a Laravel 4.2 project and setting the config file my site timed out. Removed and full functionality returned. Verified that my API key and username were correct but was not sure what was expected in the region field - I first tried IAD and then Northern Virginia. Not sure if this contributed to the problem. No other error messages were displayed.
