Setting for hiding sidebar not working temporarily
My Home Assistant version: 2023.6.1
What I am doing: Showing my dashboard on my tablet.
What I expected to happen: Sidebar remains hidden according to configuration.
What happened instead: Sidebar is shown although that it is configured to be hidden for the current user.
Minimal steps to reproduce:
- Update Home Assistant or delete browser cache.
- Dashboard refreshs and sidebar is visible (and remains visible).
Problem can be solved by switching off setting for hiding sidebar and switching it on again.

Have same issue on TV
Same here. Whenever I reload the page on my tablet, the sidebar is shown and I have to toggle the setting on->off->on to hide it. Started after upgrading to HA 2023.6.1, so HA probably broke something here.
I'm seeing the same thing. The sidebar is shown on the tablet even when it is configured not to beginning with 2023.6.1.
Same thing here using FullyKiosk on my Android Tablet. Sometimes the Sidebar is correctly hidden and sometimes it's being shown
To add a little more information: I have now tried configuring the "hide sidebar" setting on the basis of username, browser ID, and both together. None of the combinations works. The browser fails to hide the sidebar every time, no matter the setting. The only way to hide it is to turn the setting off and back on while the browser is open.
I have the same problem

I'm having issues with the sidebar not hiding, but also (what seems to be) a very strange behaviour...
- I have a kiosk browsers on a wall tablets.
- Settings in Browser Mod (tied to the username all my wall panels login with) should hide the sidebar.
- When the page is refreshed, the top bar hides, but the sidebar remains visible.
- If I open another instance Home Assistant on any other device - as soon as the page loads the sidebar on my wall panel hides.
- This behaviour is infinity repeatable.
Any ideas!?
