📝 Summary

CatchMyCapybara is a fun, interactive web mini-game where your goal is to catch a moving capybara (a cute brown animal) before time runs out! It’s written entirely in HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript, so you can run it directly in your browser or host it on GitHub Pages.

🧩 Game Concept

A cartoon capybara moves randomly across a green “grassland” board. You must click or tap it to catch it — each catch earns you a point. However, the capybara isn’t easy to catch:

  • It runs away from your mouse or touch.
  • It moves faster as you score higher.
  • It occasionally enters puddles, which slow it down — giving you a brief advantage. Your goal is to score as many catches as possible within 30 seconds!

🕹️ How to Play

  1. Click Start to begin.
  2. Move your mouse or finger near the capybara — it will try to dodge you.
  3. Click (or tap) on the capybara to catch it. Each successful catch increases your score.
  4. The timer counts down from 30 seconds.
  5. When time’s up, your final score is displayed and your best score is saved locally.
  6. You can click Pause / Resume anytime.
