Save often fails when entering new recipe

Open Toggle-0 opened this issue 5 years ago • 2 comments

After entering a recipe and clicking on 'save' the save icon becomes greyed-out and the recipe appears to have been saved. After closing the edit menu there is a blank "new recipe" with no information saved that was entered. I'm using Linux Mint with XFCE with Gourmet Recipe Manager 0.17.4. All fields (i.e. ingredients) except instructions and recipe name were left blank.

Work around is to enter a new recipe with no information. Save and exit edit. Then edit the existing "New Recipe" to enter information. Then save it and exit edit. That always works.

Alternate workaround is to be on the last page of your database when entering the initial recipe, which has always worked for me.

Thanks, will try that. Since the 'New Recipe' is added to the last page of the database, that could be why my workaround worked.
