Event Menu Planner
I'd like to suggest a make-a-menu feature, which I think would pair beautifully with Ockham's Weekly planner suggestion.
A design-a-menu feature is added to the program menu bar. Once the design-a-menu feature is selected a new 2-split pane (side by side) window would open where in the left-hand split pane would be a list of the recipe titles already in the database and the right-hand split pane would be empty. The first option to pop up would be to categorize the menu, e.g. Christmas 2017, Dad's Birthday 2018, etc.. A drag-n-drop function would then permit recipe titles from the left-hand pane to be dropped into the new menu in the right-hand pane, at will. This function should be able to hold an infinite number of "event menus" and should permit a printout of the menu (in polished fancy form if being used at a function), with or without the event menu title, as well as the recipes attached to each of the item titles. The option can be included to print a shopping list, if required.
I think this would be a very useful feature for many who have to plan dinner parties and need something dedicated to just one event that can help organize a balanced menu. You can see at a glance from the menu built in the right-hand pane if you have a top heavy menu in foods that are too rich or not rich enough, too many desserts, not enough appetizers or types of appetizers, and so on.
