Feature Request - Recipe Scheduler

Open allenerenee opened this issue 7 years ago • 2 comments

I'm afraid my python skills are nil, so I don't know how difficult this would be, but:

I find I waste a lot of time in building my 2-week meal plan moving between Google Sheets, where I plug in what I want to make when, and Gourmet - both choosing the recipes and adding them to the shopping list. I don't want to create a single "recipe" for this, because the dishes I choose to make change regularly. It would be useful to me, and probably some others, if there were a calendar function that would call recipes (or allow for manual entry, such as "5 sausage links, 2 eggs") for a particular meal on a particular day and then allow a period of days to be exported to a shopping list.

Alternatively, if someone knows how to build a crawler to pull a range of data from a spreadsheet, that sounds like it might be less labor-intensive.

Since this is now part of the Gourmet 2 wishlist at #898, please consider closing this issue.

I don't want to close every feature request just because we're talking about an overhaul:-) if some python dev is interested in making a recipe scheduler,it's a straightforward enough task.
