MQTT Integration stopped receiving messages on ThingsBoard Cloud – no errors, broker confirmed working

I’ve been using ThingsBoard Cloud for over 4 years with a stable MQTT integration connected to my Mosquitto broker hosted on AWS (port 1883, username/password). Everything was working perfectly until June 7th around 09:00 AM (UTC-4), when the integration suddenly stopped receiving messages.

Here is a detailed summary of what’s happening:

  1. My IoT devices continue publishing MQTT messages regularly.
  2. I can verify message traffic directly using MQTT Explorer.
  3. The Mosquitto broker is operational, no changes were made to its configuration.
  4. The MQTT integration in ThingsBoard still appears “Connected”.
  5. No events or errors are shown in the integration UI.
  6. I added a Log node right after the Integration node in the Rule Chain and activated debug mode — no messages are being received at all.
  7. I have not exceeded any usage limits on ThingsBoard Cloud (confirmed in the Subscription panel).
  8. I created a new MQTT integration and Rule Chain from scratch (with different topic and client ID), and it also fails to receive data.
  9. All messages published to the broker are valid JSON and follow the same format that had worked for years.
  10. It looks like the connection between ThingsBoard Cloud and the external MQTT broker is silently broken, with no log or event trace indicating why.

Is there any known issue that could explain this sudden stop? Or a way to force a deeper reset/reconnection from the backend side?

This situation is critical, as I have clients depending on the data and currently waiting for an explanation. I would greatly appreciate any guidance or insight on what might be happening, and if there is a way to force a backend-level reset or reconnection from your side.

Hi, From the Thingsboard Cloud, there are no observable issues with the MQTT integration. Please ensure a stable connection with the broker. Also, check if any parameters for the integration were changed. Please also make sure that you don't use the same credentials as for the integration anywhere else, as the MQTT doesn't allow simultaneous connection with the same credentials.
