the application stops playing continuously when it finds a track that it cannot read
To begin :
- choose a music that Odeon can read a play
- use the arrow which means go the next track
- if it cannot read the track, it stops play the list
Hi @Amiralgaby, Thanks for you feedback.
This is indeed not very user friendly. How would you like Odeon to behave instead? Should it silently move to the next track in the play queue, displaying an error message as a toast? Or rather stop to explain clearly what went wrong, giving you the opportunity to move to the next track?
Here is a list of file formats Odeon could currently read: MP3, WAV, AAC, OGG, AC3 and FLAC (available soon, for devices with Android Pie or newer). Is your file format in the list above? If it is, I would be great if you could share this file here so that I could investigate.
Hi @Thibseisel
I used to test Odeon, which I find an excellent initiative, by reusing my old drive (of MUI) I noticed that it can no longer read certain files (before it gave no error and yet I am convinced that I have no corrupted files).
So I closed the "issues" because I'm not sure where the problem is coming from.
My files are often MP3s, but I have M4A as well.
I could enlighten you with tests on my phone but right now I am extremely busy as a student.
[EDIT] Yes for silently change to the next track readable and displaying a "toast"

After a few tests this sound the .m4a files that Odeon cannot read.
Hi @Amiralgaby , Odeon v2.1.0 has been released yesterday. While the bug is not fixed yet, I've added support for playing M4A files. I'll keep this issue open until the "playback interrupted" bug is eventually fixed.
Hi @thibseisel , Ok, thanks for letting me know about the Odeon update :)
