Feature Request - Different recipe for quantum ring when No Channels config used

Like the title, when the no channels option is used, there is no longer a dense cable to use in the crafting recipe for the quantum ring. Could you put a different crafting recipe in place when that option is on?

It is possible - do note however the recipe files still exist in AL, you just need to copy the one from generated and modify it, then place it in the equivalent place in user (all under the config folder of AL/AE)

update I looked in the generated folder under the config/AL folder, and it's empty. Can I copy the source of quantum.recipe and modify that and put in user folder?

I believe you need the whole file (as it loads the user version instead of the builtin), and it needs to be the same folder structure.
