Opening this issue to see if someone has interest in maintain Octopus as a sharding solution for Rails < 6. I am happy to provide repository access or maybe help with the migration.

Hey @thiagopradi I cannot be a maintainer of the repo, but I'm available to work with you so we can merge the changes for PR #577. I'll be glad if you could review the changes. And in case you want me to incorporate the changes started in #561 please let me know.

Since we use this gem internally in the company project, those we're the changes needed to make it work with Rails > 6 and Ruby > 3 inside the application context, but we can work it out to make it available to anyone that needs it.
