Open "registration details" by default when using the corresponding anchor
I tried using the following link and it doesn't seem to work as I would expect it to: https://www.worldcubeassociation.org/competitions/COMP_ID/register#register-panel. The anchor is in a block which is collapsed by default, making the anchor unreachable when loading the page. Would it be possible to have the "registration details" show by default? In a more global way, I think that having the panel not displaying is creating confusion for competitors when they get to that page.
Could you link to a comp/give a screenshot of what you mean?
It seems to work as expected for me when accessing https://www.worldcubeassociation.org/competitions/KollaWinterCup2024/register#register-panel
In any case, this registration system will soon be deprecated so there is a very low likelihood of fixes being done on it.
Hi Duncan,
It works as long as you are not already registered to the competition. It does not work anymore on competitions you registered to: the register panel becomes a collapsed div, making the anchor inside it unreachable :) In that case, the page just load normally, view staying at scrolling position 0.
My goal is to provide a easy way for competitors to access the "delete registration" button. But it doesn't really matter for now if the workflow is totally revamped soon.
Thanks
Ah ok thanks very much! In that case, I will close this as not planned.
However, in the next month or so, we expect to be running a public beta for the new registration period. I'd suggest you take a look when that becomes available and raise a new issue if the behavior doesn't work as expected there.
Thanks for your input!
Sure, thanks for checking this :)
