Setting Away preset in UI works but can't seem to automate it

The thermostat shows up as an entity but not a device that i can select the preset for from the automation dash. I can set the preset in the ui card but not the automation configurator. Anyone have an idea on how I can have this show as a device or set the Away/home preset? Model Number: 103445-04
